Huma reg. for my Renegade

Centercut, I have a 30 Renegade HP that only gets a limited number of shots per fill which is factory rated for 18 shots at 80fpe and It looks like I only get up to 12-13 or so consistent shots, do you think a HUMA would be beneficial for my HP? Do you think it would hinder what it was meant to be in the 30 caliber? My 30 FX Bobcat yields a greater number of consistent shots.

TIA

@hawkeye69, I think it depends on what you want to do with it. You’ll be stepping down a bit in power, since my best most accurate speed with the 18.1s was 855 to 860 FPS at about 135 to 140 bar. The true benefit is increased ACCURATE shot count. Fill to 250 bar, shoot to 135 bar, ES under 8, 65 or more shots. The Renegade has very small transfer port from air tube to firing valve. Pencil lead size. So you’ll never get more than 30 or 31 FPE. Nothing wrong with that but it’s something to be considered. Increased shot count and a much larger accurate plateau are the benefits.

But, it is VERY accurate. I shot 25M BR with that gun and consistently shot over 720. It is a more accurate gun the way I tuned it then my .22 Crown. That may upset some Crown fanboys but it’s the truth for me. So if you’re looking to go to the next step in accuracy, get the Huma, set it to 135 to 140 bar, and enjoy the laser beam.
