Huma-Air Mod40-5/0 Moderator Review

Hi everyone,



I decided to make a small review video on a Huma-Air Mod40-5/0 Moderator Review .25 moderator. Its a very silent moderator and I had a great time shooting it. I shot around 1k rounds with it so not such a long time review, but hopefully enough of information for everyone.

DB readings were as follows:

Control group: 78.1, 78.2, 78.7, 78.4, 78.1

Huma-Air: 40-5: 73.2, 73.8, 73.3, 72.7, 74.0



Accuracy:

Control group: 0.686" = 1.314moa

Huma-Air 40-5: 0.815"=1.56moa

i also have one (on a leshiy 2) and i like that i can use more or less sections depending on how quiet or short i need it to be (i cut the hand guard).

i would be interested to see an accuracy follow up in the higher power platform. PJ from wisconsin airgunners found that the Huma decreased accuracy for him - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQu5IeWL_3g

Yeah I looked at the review from PJ. What I can see from my platform is that atleast with the sub 50FP it works pretty well. Because the first expansion chamber is wrapped in felt it doesn't have the same volumetric capacity as some other moderator has. While that bein said it would be intrested to see what happens when the felts are removed from the expansion chamber

i don't see this level of velocity deviation, but i suppose every gun can be different.

There is also a possibility that they have made a new revision of the design on the product to mitigate these issues. Not the first time I have seen this happen on machines and other equipment that I work with on mining industry
