HUMA-AIR Memorial Day sale vs. tariff rates?

HUMA-AIR is having a 15% off Memorial Day sale (May 26,27,28)
Does anyone have a definitive answer to how much the current tariff tussle is going to add to the buyer's cost?
Asking because I have read posts claiming that there have been large charges added by the delivery carriers when the item enters the U.S.

Thanks
Edward
Unless you're buying anything chinese, the tariffs will not hit you. My self and a buddy have bought several regulators and moderators app and we have yet to receive an email saying that we need to pay a fee, and we got our parts a week ago.

You'll likely have to call UPS international to get a more direct, no bs answer.

I'm not certain whether any has a 'definitive answer' as I believe that tariff rates will still be based on the 'country of origin', which is where manufactured and not where shipped from. So tariff rates/Customs duties will vary based on what you purchase.

I saw the Huma sale post too, but have decided to wait by the sidelines a bit more during these unusual times.

In general, products imported into the United States from the Netherlands, with a value under $800, are exempt from import duties. This exemption is known as the de minimis threshold. However, there are some exceptions, and the specific regulations can be complex.

Elaboration:
  • De Minimis Threshold:
The US has a de minimis threshold of $800 for imports, meaning goods valued below that amount are generally exempt from import duties.

  • Personal Use vs. Commercial Import:
The regulations apply to personal use items. Commercial imports, meaning not for personal use, are subject to different rules and may require payment of duties, fees, and taxes.

My understanding is that the China De Minimis rules as of May 14th is that a 54% tariff or $100 flat fee still applies to Mainland Chinese made products. Things change so often that I'm not keen to purchase anything from overseas. European tariffs are delayed to July. It's hard to keep up with the changes.
Yes, you are correct. I missed the 54%.
