Huggett or DonnyDu for my impact?

Hey guys ,

Been kicking around the choice between Huggett and the DonnyDu Emporer to put on my Impact . Had some interaction with Donny , love his customer service . He recommended the Emporer V3 . Like the idea of supporting the “local” guy . Sound suppression is not my main concern, although it never hurts to be even quieter . I’ve been leaning towards the Hugget simply because I love the look/size of them . Just by what I’ve read so far it’s a toss up as far as sound and price point is close to the same .

So I was hoping one of you guys may have some experience with both and have an opinion or facts to push me one way or the other . It’s going on a Impact .30 700mm . Thanks for the help !

I don't know who DonnyDu is but I suggest a DonnyFl Ronin. I've had both and the Ronin with Uni filter material instead of felt is substantially quieter. I believe it's because the Emperor V3 has a much larger exit hole than my Ronin V2. I literally fired 3 pellets through the Emperor V3 and sold it at an $80 loss. My 700mm .30 impact is modified and shoots the 50 grain JSB at 950 fps. I only get 15-16 shots per fill from 250 to 170 bar.

I have tested and disassembled both —-> Donny’s Mods is the winner as being the quietest and so many model to fit your needs. Huggett has a slightly edge in finish and looks.

A silencer main priority is to quiet down the blast—> Donny’s all the way

I know weight dampen sounds and vibrations more then thin wall light mods, maybe i have great hearing but I just hear more ping / high notes

Wow thanks for all the feed back guys ! Donny was my first thought , local , he emailed me back almost instantly. That in it self says loads ! Guess I’ll need to decide which model now ???? Appreciate all your help . And ya I hope that new truck I ordered doesn’t have a branding on it ! Lol I’m gonna proudly index that to read DONNYFL . Douger , Nicely put !

The only thing better than his moderators is his character and reputation. A lot of folks proudly display company names or logos on thousands products. They buy them with a sense of pride of ownership.

This sort of comment would offend many, many people and I can not say as I would blame them.

DonnyFL Shogun + .30 Impact X is almost as quiet as my Sumo on my .22 P-rod. Projectile in flight and projectile strike are what they are though

I have every kind of moderator made I test them out it's my weakness will say. But as of today nothing is better then Donny Fl on the market and his customer service is awesome to say the least a great guy who truly cares about his customers so I say get a Donny Fl. And call it a day.

Just make sure you get a mod that is specifically made to your caliber. These multiple caliber mods are not as quite. I know because I own them.
