Has anyone tried the Huggett Astille moderators yet? I haven't seen any posts.
I'll give my qualitative impression - very impressive moderators for their size.
I bought a .30 with one extension for my Leshiy .30 350mm barrel. I was running a .30 Tanto on it which did a surprisingly good job for its size of quieting down a 60fpe shot. But it wasn't indoor friendly. I was very impressed with the Atom I had bought and looking at the Astille I thought I'd give it a try. The Astille with one extension brought the sound down to what I would call a quiet gun. Indoor friendly - yes.
Yesterday I received a .22 Astille with one extension and again I am very impressed. The sound is lower and softer than a .22 Koi shooting at ~36fpe.
I also got one more .30 extension - which I've yet to try out. I'm trying to get a .30 @ 60fpe to 'whisper quiet'.
Would be interested to hear any other experiences.
