"crosman2016"Nice shooting, and great video! I have one question though, what was that strange sound, just before the shot?
In high speed filming mode the camera does not record any sound so pretty much every sound you hear I had to add in. I also in places speed up slomotion footage to look like normal time to cut down on the overall length of the video.
Also when editing for sound and video you notice funny things for example the camera picks up a small non noticeable to the shooter mechanical sound micro seconds before the BANG I assume it is the trigger sear releaseing, and in frame by frame view before every shot the gun dips ever so slightly then the bang and recoil, I attribute this to the pressure placed on the trigger in order to shoot, this small dip was my cue to add in the gun shot sound,
Sounds you may have heard that I added in:
Ambiant background noise - it would have sounded weird with out this.
Into Slomotion sound effect - to make a audiable cue when going from normal to high speed footage.
Slow heartbeat sound - added to slow motion sceens. I thought this might be cool effect, kind of like in a big Hollywood action movie sniper sceen.
Slow gun shot and pellet hit - add to the realism. Sound is of my gun shooting and the pellet hitting a pigeon at that location in real time then slowed down to match the speed of the slomo footage. I matched up the sounds to coincide with the actual shot and pellet hit on screen.
Out of slomotion sound effect - an audible cue when going from slow motion to normal speed footage.
Hope this answers your question if not tell me at what time in the video the sound happens and I can pinpoint it for you.
