huge buck taken with a Texan SS

@LethalAir Very impressive looking offhand shot. He had a beautiful rack on him. What’d he weigh? Where’d you hit him? What sort of damage did that copper round do internally? How much penetration did you get at 81 yards?
well he didn’t go but 15 or so yards so penetration was excellent and one of the fractured pieces sliced his heart … slug fractured into 5 pieces 4 make up the hollowpoint and the core of the slug. The core was a complete pass through. I believe he was around 205 lbs…. If you check out my Mississippi deer hunting video I take an 8 pt with the same ammo and in the video we skin out the deer and look at the internal damage they cause. we are presently working on bringing the ammo back to market along with several other copper design option!

@LethalAir Nicely done. The coagulated blood I saw around the ribs tells me that y’all had some serious meat damage. Looks like those petals were devastating as they moved into the animal.

As for the copper rounds, how are you barrels affected after shooting 100 + copper rounds? Do you have to clean the lead out before shooting copper to get better accuracy? What issues have you encountered shooting them? Which velocities do they like?
