Airforce Huben Power Regulator on a Condor SS .25 vs Stock Tank

I got the chance to do some head to head testing with my .25 Condor SS, equipped 2 different ways; stock tank vs Huben regulated setup.

My goal was to have the reg set pretty low (~2400psi) and see if I could get a good tune for 34gr FX pellets at sub 950fps. The Huben reg I used is the M18 threaded version (https://shop.hubenpower.com/products/cricket-max-ath-regulator?rs_ref=xFnJgccX) so I got another Condor Hi-Flo valve from Airforce and mounted it up to the reg. You could, of course, just re-use your stock valve for this and there's another video on my channel showing how to do just that. Anyway, I used a cheap 360cc 4500psi Tuxing bottle (https://amzn.to/3XKlzZ7) from Amazon for the reg'd setup. For the stock bottle comparison I just used the stock tank with no modifications.

I explain it all in the video so rather than typing a novel here, I'll just post the video below:

The regulated performance is highly impressive. I'm getting like 50 consistent shots or so at 60+fpe with the reg. This Condor is now perfect for taking on a weekend hunting trip without worrying about running out of air or dealing with a bell-curve of velocity (and therefore point of impact changes). I continue to be impressed by these regs!

Anyone else tried these regs? What do you think? Would you like to see any more videos on these regs? (I've done a bunch already)

Cheers!

@AirShootist
Just what I was looking for!
Thank you
However, it is hard to tell from the video
How much length does the Huben regulator coupled with the Tuxing .36L bottle add, please?

Thanks
Edward
They are the same length of pull, which is why I used that bottle. Initially I tried a 420cc but it made for a super lanky LOP. The 360cc is perfect. And it will fit the factory stock band. There is a link for all I used in the video desription
I wonder if this might be the answer for the "too much power" 22Cal Condors out there in the wild. I have a 25Cal Condor 24" barrel I might have to try one of these regs. I was thinking maybe use a full 580cc bottle over my shoulder like with the Maddog stocks?
It absolutely is the answer. And you will get a gob of shots with that barrel length especially with a 580cc botttle

These 2 ideas are absolutely great.
And very timely as I had been wondering about a longer bottle on my Condor SS 25 with Mad Dog stock
Thank you both
Now the next issue
Degassing when using or not using the Huben regulator
I absolutely hate loosening/retightening 1/8"NPT fittings for this purpose
Often, they become a PITA to reseal
Is there a reliable solution such as adding a bleed valve or adapting threads?

Thanks
Edward

Yes, get an old fill adapter for the non fill-nippled old school bottles, drop a penny in it, and screw in your tank carefully. That's how I do it.

Yes, I did see that in one of your videos.
And I have begun looking for one on the internet
The closest I have come so far is from Ali Express

Do you think a call to Airforce might drum one up?

Edward

Airforce for sure has them. I think they use them for degassing. OR they might even have a special tool just for that. Maybe give em a jingle - super nice folks over there
