Has anyone seen any aftermarket light weigh stock options for the K1, I know New England airguns has a camo style ones but does not mention the weight, looking into other option to shave about a pound off the weight.
Huben makes a K1 with a carbon fiber stock and shroud. It’s $1100 more than a regular K1. Krazcool Airguns maybe can sell you just the stock.
Another option is the walnut stock. Sounds unbelievable, but it is almost half pound lighter than the synthetic stock. That paired with a carbon fiber shroud will be about a pound shaved off.
Great idea, didn’t think of the carbon fiber shroud, I did have the carbon fiber in mind but Huben shop is asking 800 plus ho know what the customs charge would add to that and no one has it locally so that is an outrageous price, walnut make more sense paire with the carbon shroud, will have to find who carries the shroud in the US. thanks for the tip
I believe that NEAG's hydro-dipped stocks are based on the standard K1 plastic stock, so the weight would be the same. If Kelly doesn't have a CF stock available, then you can always buy one from the Huben Airguns shop but, either way, they ain't cheap. I have one on my K1 and I love it.
Thinking about buying a second plastic one and doing some major milling of the unwanted plastic plus a nice paint job, will be an interesting project for a few hundred bucks, my guess I can shave a few hundred grams. The plastic one weighs 750g plenty of room for some carving
