Hi, Guys. What's the easiest way to remove the front endcap from the shroud on the Huben K1 2020? I want to add a 1/2 UNF adapter but the endcap is thwarting me at the moment. Tips, suggestions?

Mines coming today or tomorrow and my old ones at the other house. I'll check it if nobody else chimes in here. Hopefully somebody else will.

It just unscrew off and shouldn't have locktite. You Will need an adapter to screw on your LDC though.

May have to heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun , wrap in heavy leather and unscrew. Mine was super tight and that got it off without damage.

WARNING!!! BE SURE TO PUT SOME OIL ON THE 1/2" UNF X20 THREADS BEFORE SCREWING THE LDC ON!!! MINES SUPER STUCK!!! MAY HAVE TO DAB SONE NAIL POLISH ON THE SHROUD THREADS!

I hate that - Then you fiddle with the adapter and the Huggett endcap comes off - DOH. Maybe a little of that black anti-seize stuff?

I'm having a battle with mine, no movement so far. I got a pretty Donny adapter waiting but can't break the original cap open. Don't really feel comfortable using brute force or heat on it

Alright, I was just a bit worried about pointing a heat gun on it since the end of the shroud is damn close to the air cylinder. Just took the shroud off will give it a go tomorrow at work again

hi daniair, mine was very tight too. you need oil filter belt wrench such as https://www.ebay.com/itm/254384646896 to avoid damage your huben.
