Huben Huben Gk1 Super Short.

I'm still curious how people manage to get that much power out of their GK1. I've cranked mine up to max power in the past, and shot some reasonably heavy projectiles (38 grain slugs), but mine never came close to the fabled 80 ft-lbs the long version is allegedly capable of, or the 50/60 ft-lbs for the shorty or supershorty.

The most I've ever gotten out of the long version is around 58 ft-lbs (78 joules), and about 42 ft-lbs (57 joules) from the shorty. And yes, I did shoot on a 350 bar fill, more or less. Maybe 345 bar.

This is the .25 cal. With this super shorty 5 inch with the adjustment screw mostly backed out it shoots 48 and50 grain slugs at 700 to 715 fps .only the first shot or two they can become very inefficient .. drops quick like 30 40 fps per shot also no regulated

screw backed out then back in half turn or so. And using heaviest projectiles possible. .25 cal will shoot 50 grain. At least 44 grain for .22

You get a considerable jump in power from the heavier slugs and more air is used per shot: they stay in the barrel longer, and back pressure means the valve stays open longer and releases more air. I cast my own 48 and 50 grain slugs (MP molds and NOE).

Mine's also in .25, but I don't think they sell slugs that heavy where I live. The heaviest Ive seen here are 40 grainers.

I'm currently trying these out on my Vulcan 3 HP.
So far they have showed potential. Way more than any .253 before them.
