Late to the show but I must comment...
The Canadian versions of handguns = a gun that was designed for a single one hand operation - if the speed and energy is below the described limits, doesn't need a firearms license.
But if it is above the speed and energy limits, not only need a RPAL license, but all the handgun firearms laws apply ....
That means, an air pistol - need to be locked on trigger and locked on the pistol case;
you cannot just drop it on your car back seat and go, it must be hidden from views, also you must notify the LE that you are - planning on "transferring" a restricted firearm = handgun from location to a location. Planning that means before you do and not when you doing it or done.
Don't even think going to a provincial park for plinking with it, only between two points - your home and your gun range. That is it.
A full handgun law applies to your air pistol as that would be a 9mm Glock.
Couple years back I designed a plenum for the PP750 and Wes was selling these addon parts to US friends. My gizmo raised the speed that the Canadian PP750 would be illegal without a license, and even with a license a strict laws would apply. So I ended up just abandoning the developments completely.
To sum it up, it is just not worth to invest in any air handgun in Canada, because the hassle goes with it. If you really want you better get a PB.
