Let me regale with you advice on how to loose a FX Impact MKii you just got (on the classifieds). In case it was bothering you.

Step 1) Buy it on the used market so you dont cry too much

Step 2) Get a slug liner for it and put it in, so it shoos heavy pellets and slugs better then you

Step 3) Invite a 74 year old man, named Sir and at times Dad over to see your new hobby and shoot some rounds with you

Step 4) listen to your ex marine dad tell you stories of his buddies in vietnam each time he sits down to shoot and then stories of when he joined the Isreali army after meeting your mom and fought in Lebanon as well

Step 5) Observe his smile and poop eating grin as he places his shots on the backstop you built for him in your back yard.

Step 6) Tell him happy birthday Sir / Dad... enjoy that airgun you havent put down since you got here.

LOL 

Yeah, it was love at first site for him. And i think it is a great fit. At his age after three strokes. Benchrest is what he can do. Woods / hunting is not in the cards any longer. So I think the Impact was a perfect fit.

I will say its been tough. Barely seen him these past two months. He is 74 and I as some of you know am running a COVID unit. The only one in Orlando that i know of outside of a hospital. We also are caring for over 100 COVID patients in their homes so they dont have to go to the hospital. Even though i have been asymptomatic. I have kept away from him and my mom for safety / over protective reasons (their age puts them at a high risk category). Today was the first day in a while that i got to spend time with him. Of course i sat away from him. Sanitized the gun and case before i gave it to him, etc..... A good time indeed still.



He adopted me when i was 7 after meeting my mother and never looked back. They dont make men like him any more. At least not alot of them now days. Ok, i am getting off my soap box lol
