How to kill a skunk with no (or very minimal) spray!

I got another skunk last night... and this guy was no joke! It was the biggest skunk I've ever seen, let alone shot!

The heart and lung shot does it for me every time, but I usually get a little spray right when they die. Last night I shot a little high, and what I thought was forward. I even started second guessing it as I slowed the footage down and zoomed in. Upon inspection this morning, it was right behind it's shoulder... perfect! It made it about a foot from where I shot it. I was going to take pics, but my neighbor was out (as you can see) at the end being the legend she is. She was making fun of me for trying to use a shovel... and while she held the bag, she just grabbed the thing off the shovel and scooped it into the bag! Ha! 80 year old hardcore lady has seen some sh!t... a little contact with a skunk no big deal I guess.

Great shot, I stopped shooting them in the head (in my yard anyway). I shot many in the head and a cloud appears. I shot one by accident behind the shoulder and it waddled off and fell over with no spray. Since that night I shoot them all in the boiler. No more wearing bags on my shoes due to spray all over the grass and using a pitch fork to scoop them up. Shot them with .177 Marauders and .22 Renegade. Doesn't take much gun to kill them with a good side profile chest hit.

These are the last two I head shot. What a mess under the bird feeder.
