How to clean barrel on Hw30s

I dont have a cleaning rod that will fit in barrel. Any tricks?

Well other then buying one a bore snake is handy. They make a 17 cal one with out the brush part just for an air rile.

I use weed wacker line and put a patch on it. Cheap, easy and effective. 

Cut the line 2 times the length of the barrel plus 12 to 16 inches. Extra length for handle.

Find the center, heat it with a lighter and fold it in half.

Feed it thru barrel and install a patch, pull thru.

Use .065 dia. line or less for .177

Thank you all for the replies. Really enjoying my new HW30s from AoA. Have a gamo optimus and 1377 pistol but this is a whole diffrent class. Thanks again for answering my questions.

Another "trick" with trimmer line (instead of doubling) is to melt an end with a match or lighter, place the melted plastic straight down onto a flat cool surface to form a mushroom looking head, trim head with fingernail clippers to smaller than bore size, angle-cut opposite end with sharp blade for easy threading of patch, should pull through bore and patch stays on the head.

I absolutely LOVE my Patchworm kit and use it on every one of my airguns, (Springer, PCP, multi-pump... I use it in 177 and a collar adapts it for 22.) I have also used the weed wacker strings and other things mentioned above. Most worked very well. (There are a lot of good ways to clean airguns.) But the best results FOR ME have been using the Patchworm. 

I first run it through with one of their felt pads dabbed in a cleaning solvent. (I often use Balistol. Make sure it's something safe for the seals.) The pad is not dripping wet, just enough to get the solvent in the barrel. Then I wait a moment for the solvent to work, then give it a few pulls through with dry patches. I will repeat this as needed. I usually have a really clean barrel in minutes. 

I did this last month with a new in the box P15 and was clean in 2 felts and about 8 patches. It took about 10 minutes.
