Tuning How to adjust the cocking lever to close easier - Weihrauch HW97K

I have a collection of HW97K spring powered rifles. Previously, I had encountered one or two where the cocking lever didn't want to snap in without a lot of force. On those rifles, I took a file and relieved a small amount of metal to let the detent button ride and engage more easily and the problem was resolved.

I have a new rifle now with the same issue. Looking at it, I don't see any way to resolve this issue unless the barrel weight can be moved, and it seems to be very tight and not wanting to move, even when I relieve the allen set screw.

If you have experienced the same issue and corrected it, I would appreciate knowing your fix.....

It's glued so you'll need to break the bond with heat. A small propane torch will do but don't apply the heat directly to preserve the bluing/finish. Mark location where rear of brake meets barrel once you've nailed the lock-up, then use LocTite 683 or similar and reaffix brake on barrel.
