afik the only adapter is from a place in pakistan, or you might find something on ebay but yes, heat the thread area up with a heat gun and use some grippy gloves it will come off ... donnyfl does sell slip on adapters in various mm, but to work right the front sight would have to be removed and maybe the end of the barrel turned and sleeved .. the slipons do work for the gen1 rifle barrels if you set it up with a chaser stock and gen1 stormrider barrel ...

I know of 2.
You can get this from Buck-rail, awesome guy, great stuff:

or Donny, always great, makes an adapter as well to fit almost any moderator

It isn't likely that you will find a moderator that is actually better than the one that comes on it. I've been building and testing moderators on a Stormrider for about two months. I have two Donnie's and another well known vendors moderator. The stock moderator beats all of them by 6 or more dBs. That is a LOT. I finally found a combination of baffles which will better it but only by 3 dB, which is pretty good.

Just sayin' the one that comes on the Bandit is exceptional for that gun.

I measured the thread length and it is 11 mm worth of thread is this not sufficient for the adapter?
He is saying that the adapter doesn't screw all the way down to the shoulder on the barrel of the Storm Rider or the Bandit. You can get around that by dressing that joint with washers. It falls about 3 mm short of matching perfectly.
