Air Venturi How often do you drain out water?

You should not be getting water in your pcp's. You should make sure that the compressor has proper water/moisture filtration prior to filling guns. I personally used a yong heng from the beginning and drained the moisture valve on the compressor every 5 minutes or so. i also replaced the cotton filter about every 10-15 minutes with a dry one. My setup was that I would be filling bottles and using that to fill guns. I had a one way check valve that would allow me to stop compressor and remove filter and replace without having to re-pressurize the entire filtration system and only the short hose coming from the compressor.

I double dry my air before I fill my tank.

I dry the air before it goes into my Shoebox compressor and after it comes out of my Shoebox compressor.

I have never had H20 in my rifles.

"How often do you drain water buildup out of your PCP's?" YIKES!!! One should NEVER have to as one has to ENSURE water never gets in!!! Read all you can in the archives regarding compressors and filtration. It's not so much whether you have expensive filters but the filtering media inside them. I'm hoping that water really isn't getting INSIDE your PCP! Post PICTURES of your setup & you'll get good recommendations for improving filtration.

I've never drained water out of a PCP. As people here have discussed, water in the PCP is something you want to avoid -- at about the cost of your PCP rifle.

I similarly dry my air before putting it in an SCBA tank, and I fill my PCPs from the SCBA tank.

You can find multiple threads on the consequences of corrosion in PCPs. Even in aluminum it's a problem.

WHAT KIND of compressor? Any filters in line from compressor to gun/tank? Did a small filter come with compressor (in line after compressor/before gun/tank)? If one did and you're ONLY using THAT, it's NOT ENOUGH!!! A larger filter housing with quality dessicant will remove a lot of moisture. Even a $30ish AirMega from ebay filled with a solid(not gel) bead/ball dessicant might be sufficient to keep moisture from your guns/tank.

Clearly I'm behind the curve on this. I'll start filter shopping tonight. Thanks everyone.
The dual tuxing are good. First one gets the water created during compression and 2nd filters and dries further.

Topping off my 6.8l and 9l tanks a surprisingly large amount of water is collected. And I live in a dry climate. I can only imagine how much from a humid climate would be collected.

I wish there are reviews of filtration systems that are as well done as rifle reviews. Pretty hit and miss out there. Here's one unit I'm finding that looks reasonable. My end goal is to find a good filter that does not cost more than my gun, is portable enough to take along shooting, and does the job of drying the air. 90%+ humidity days are very normal around here.

Here is some info on water in compressed air I wrote up, and it will help educate you more so you know what you are looking for - two posts, back to back, numbers 34 and 35: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/moisture-in-pcp-airguns.1321274/page-2#post-1839752 The whole topic has lots of other good info in it too . . .

As others have said the GX filter is new and appears to be a great affordable one, and it looks like the one you found. You have not told us what compressor you are using - that could help us guide you too.

At the least you need to have one of these on your compressor, I use two filters like this. One is slightly smaller
Filter elements should be disassembled and dried out several times a year or more depending on use. Or just buy new inserts or new media.
