This morning, I took a few shots at this cast iron frying pan. with my .30 cal RAW at 55 yards. I saw a 1 inch hole in the pan, then took a few more shots till the rest of the bottom was gone.

It has been shot hundreds of times with .22 pcps, so the 30 finished it off."Inde"Cast iron is very brittle. 40fpe is probably enough to knock a hole in it. Sorry to rain on your parade.
Is yours stock or have you done anything to it?"Jabba954"jps - I'm shooting the 50.15g at ~895 fps
Yes, I tried increasing the hammer spring tension, but best I could get was around 878 fps."broekzwans"He probably cranked up the regulator a little. You cant adjust RAWs a lot with the hammer adjustment, at least not this much from stock setting.
@jps always fun to something else than target cards from time to timeShows that your backstop should be sufficiently thick

broekzwansIf it shoots great I would just leave it at the settings it is right now. If you like to experiment you can adjust it to get more speed. Most shooters out here (Netherlands and Belgium) use velocities of about 855 to 870 fps with the 44 grains![]()
Is it possible to place your picture of your first post with a different image hoster? It display an error at my screen (could be just my PC)
