How much of this hobby is nostalgia ?

I can go out right now and be a kid , just me and my gun in the wilderness . Daneil Boon was my Hero , my daisy model 25 became a Flintlock . Made a Tomahawk out of a trowel . Arrow heads from old teaspoons . Next came the first move "Elliot Ness and the untouchables " the model 25 became a pump shotgun . co2 bb pistol was in a shoulder holster ( a few times under a sweater in grade school . I Stopped that b4 i got caught .

For all you youngsters a pocket knife was in any boys pocket always . I even knew some girls that had pocket knives and carried them

Teachers would ask, Do any of you boys have a knife? Wanting to borrow it. I would mostly decline. I didn't let anybody do anything stupid with my pocket knife. Like pry with it, use it for a screwdriver, etc. I would always ask, What do you intend to use it for, first.

Sometimes I think about days long ago shooting a Daisy 1894 and watching the BB arc to the intended target. Or not. Correct holdover is everything.
I have one that needs rebuilt some day. I'd like to shoot one again.
I always dreamt of airguns I saw in Western Auto and Sears catalogs. Imported guns in Shooters Bible, magazines, etc.
