I started off with a couple of break barrel springers, but now I just shoot PCPs. After I slept with the pic star that plain Jane just don't turn me on anymore.
I have a couple of big bore PCPs and they satisfy my need to employ better discipline. Try shooting a 200+ FPE big bore and it will certainly make you pay attention to technique if you want to hit anything."Killzone"I shoot both springer's and PCP's and maybe I'm just easily aroused but springer's still turn me on. The PCP's are so much easer to shoot - it takes better technique to shoot a springer and making the shot I find more rewarding. Knocking a crow off the top of a Cypress at 45 yards with a .177 springer is a hoot - missing it with a PCP and you should turn in your Sheriff John Badge and hang it all up. Hold, and follow through is so important with a springer. Important with a PCP but a bit more tolerant. If you learn to shoot a piston gun well, your PCP and powder burner shooting will be improved as well.
