Just what the title says. I have one, it's low hours (<10), nothing wrong other than the mess when venting and the smell after running it. Just trying to get an idea of how long it might last.

GeneT, I've had mine I guess it'll be three maybe four years this December, time flies by if you know what I've mean. What kind of mess is it making when you bleed it off. It should just be a whitish to clear dab of water. If its a black discharge of goo you have problems that need to be addressed. Just curios..

If you plan on keeping this compressor, do yourself a big favor now and round up at minimum two rebuild kits and a bag of around 12 piston rings. It’s only a matter of time and it’ll be time to reseal and rebuild it. Not trying to be a downer, but if you do a search on this sub forum on failures on these models in just the last six months, you will see. I had a Lightning compressor from Hatsan which was close to the AV but with a few more bells and whistles, and right at 12 or 14 hours it needed a rebuild. Parts from overseas took 5 weeks to get to me. Hopefully your mechanically inclined and patient.
