How many fills ?

From what I can find on the gun it has a werqing pressure of 120-300 bar. So max fill is at 300bar or 4300psi that is a high fill pressure! So, you will get no full fills from your tank filled to 3000psi and a fairly limited number of fills from the tank at 4500psi. You will however get many partial fills from the tank down to the 1740psi werqing pressure of your gun. You likely want a tank and a compressor that both go to 4500psi. The Great White is an American made tank and a good one. I am waiting for mine to get here now. I already have a Yong Heng actually two but my Impact only fills to 3600psi so I will likely get a few more fills from the tank than you. Although at that pressure you may have a higher shot count.

If you can only fill your tank to 3000. It isnt worth it. Most guns are 3000 psi max fill. So having a tank that is fill to 3000 psi is worthless. Get a yong heng. It's only $200 on ebay with free shipping. You can afford a $700 tank. I'm sure you can afford a $200 compressor. The yong heng will top a 74cf tank from 3000 psi to 4500 psi in about 20 to 25 mins. Nothing like having your own air supply. Why pay $10 to $15 every time you fill your tank? The yong heng will pay for itself.

I’ve been using a nomad2 to fill my r5m long 25, I usually fill to 255bar. I’m pushing mk2 heavies at 870 with only hammer spring adjustments.

How long have you been using the nomad 2, and any issues with it ?

How long does it have to run to “ top it off” each time ?

And how many shots you get per fill ?

I usually stop shooting at 4mags and it takes about 5 min to get back to 255bar. I’ve had the nomad 2 since it first came out, I’ve replaced one O-Ring in the quick connect. I put a few drops of silicone oil in it a little more often then it calls for. I usually shoot 4 mags then fill I could probably get 45 shots before I get to reg pressure.

I think there is a version of the yong hen (or something similar) that doesn’t need water and it’s around $350. It seems a lot like the Jsar compressor a lot of guys have been waiting on.

Damn, researching compressors you find they have a lot of problems also. From the 2000.00 to the 200.00 they don’t seem very reliable. How long have you guys had some of yours for ? And what kind of issues ? The nomad 2 does peak my interest the most, but there’s a ton of bad reviews,( even on this sight alone) but again there seems to be with all of them.

Another question, I am only going to shoot this gun maybe 200 shots a year, the springer I have now is about five years old and I am on my second 250 pellet tin. So 200 would be a lot of shooting for me, in one year. With the compressors even less reliable then the guns, the hassle and cost of air tanks getting re- filled. Would a hand pump make sense ? I am used to pumping atv tires with a hand pump, so if I had to do this a few times even every other month I think it may be worth it. But I have never pumped a pcp gun up, so I don’t know how tough it is.

So if I was to buy a great white and have a scuba shop fill it, they can only fill to 3000. Can’t find any where that fills to 4500. How many times ( approx) would I be able to fill a Edgun matador r5m long, .25 cal ? And if I cant find someone to fill it to 4500 is it worth getting the great white ( or similar) tank ?

Not sure where you are exactly, but try another scuba fill shop, many around here can fill to 4500 no problem. If no luck there, look for a hydro testing shop, they can fill to 4500 for sure.
