How many EVOL .22 owners here?

One of my better 5 shot groups at 40 yards with the EVOL 22.

Chrono results Oehler 35p.

I bought Dairyboy's EVOL 22 that is a 15 inch barrel. It is a sweet shooter. It loves the 15.89 JSB Jumbos. I like your taste in airguns and rimfire. I have a T1X also and they are great guns. I killed a few prairie dogs with my EVOL 22 this summer in New Mexico. I had not planned on hunting p-dogs there but it did better than expected. Had I known, I would have brought the EVOL 30!

The really nice thing about the tune Dairyboy performed is it gets around 90+ shots on a charge. I like my FX Maverick as well but have had several failures with it that are easy to resolve but sometimes cut my day short. I have never had a problem with the EVOL 22. It is so easy to shoot tiny groups with as well. I think you will love it!

Glad to hear your still enjoying it!! I do miss it.

Side note, I too have a Tikka T1X .22lr. Man am I glad I got one. Got tired of trying for a slug airgun and went to the Tikka. Great pair between the Evol and Tikka!

Amen to that comment Dillon. I just got myself a MDT chassis for the Tikka for Christmas and it takes the TX1 to another level.

Thanks Dillon, glad to hear you love your T1X as well.

Mr. H, those MDTs look nice. I have mine in a KRG Bravo. I have had a Sako TRG 308 for years. I set up my T1X to mirror that gun and to serve as a trainer.

First group (10 shots at 50 yards) I shot with the gun on the first day out.

100 yard group first day out with the T1X 22LR. It’s a fun gun and a great value.

Very nice I was torn for a long time with the MDT or KRG Bravo. Ended up going with the Bravo in the end as I wanted the more standard rifle feel over tactical AR feel. I waited a year before I upgraded the stock and wish I did it sooner. My first day out with it also netted a sub MOA 10 shot group at 80yds with SK Rifle Match. Quit the slug chasing that day.

Looking forward to when you get your EVOL! The quality and robustness is just next level.

@Mr-H It kinda sucks, but I guess that just means you’re one of the .22 Evol trailblazers here. I also wanted to know, did you ask AOA which pellets pair well with the gun out of the box? If so, which did they recommend?

I did have a chance to speak with AoA this afternoon. Their #1 pellet choice for the 15" .22 is the JSB RD's, #2 is the 18.13 gr. But as they say, "your results may vary"

Sounds like a good starting point. Hopefully some others can share their findings as well. Do you plan to post groups and chronograph numbers?

I certainly am planning on that. However, I'm somewhat handicapped right now. I live in the upper midwest: Snow on the ground, temps the teens, wind, not exactly ideal air gunning conditions. I can set up my shooting station in front of a window, with my targets 50 yds away. I can maybe get a mag to print before I have to close the window. I will keep this thread updated as I'm able. :)
