How high in reg pressure can I go on the AMP regulator?

How high could I go BEFORE it starts to wear down the regulator at an alarming rate? I am sitting at 140 reg pressure now with a Huma pin probe and getting 925 FPS with JSB 25 grains (that’s on max…I shoot on 5 power which puts me at 900 FPS because it sounds like the hammer spring and valve are in harmony there). 


For those with the Dreamline…how maxed out have you gotten before?

I have no problems with 175-178 bars.

I had the second gen. breach design of the Dreamline in .25 that was opened up for airflow, still having the original valve and seat. @ 135bar I was able to disintegrate the valve seat. Ernest discovered this on the Impact MK1 and corrected the problem...Didn't make it to the Dreamline unfortunately. Same results. crushed valve seat at moderate power. That being said, the new DL has a more robust valve setup. The consensus I have read seems to be that the current AMP should handle up to 175bar max with Bellville re-configurations. YMMV.

Well they have some hefty modifications to get there…like power plenum and custom pellet probes…bigger transfer ports too. My dreampup doesn’t have the power plenum but it does have a huma pellet pin and a bigger transfer port.

before you go higher on reg pressure max out the HS preload first. Even with earlier impact with small plenum you should still easily get more power than you are currently shooting.
