How fast can you push Crosman premier hp 22?

Just wanted to ask you guys how fast you can push a Crosman premier hp or domes. I am trying to build a pcp that is designed for hunting with cph and domes. I want to push it as fast as possible and still be accurate. I only have 10 yards in my backyard so I don't have the distance available to me to shoot out to 50 yards. Cph actually stay plenty accurate even at 1100fps in my backyard but I'm sure once I stretch that out they will open up greatly. I'm hoping to get 950 fps and still have a stable pellet. Have any of you guys gotten a chance to shoot them that fast? Did it work for you? If so what twist rate do you recommend? Thanks guys.

Yeah i just shot some out of a slug liner last weekend. This is at 50m at 940-950 nothing amazing but soo cheap i couldnt resist grabbing a few tins.

This is 28 shots and hole in steel plate is 1 inches

In barrels that like them ... OBVIOUSLY Pushed into the upper 900's will hold an inch or so at 75'ish yards.

It all depends on the barrel but most guns I tried them in seem to shoot it fine. Try 900 FPS? Why do you need to shoot them so fast anyways, most pellets are most accurate around 850 FPS.

I have a couple guns that shoot them pretty good, with the allotted Crosman flier at 30yrds. But they start scattering at 50yrds. My barrels that tolerate them are a Prod 750fps, a 14.5" Crosman LW barrel on a bottled 2240 725fps and a Kral Jumbo 915fps. A 14.3 JSB out of all the same guns at the same speeds produce tiny groups at 50yrds. I still use the Crosmans for fun family volume shooting because they are cheap and who cares if you miss more often.

My cricket standard shoots the domes in 1 big hole @50yrds just shy of 1000fps.

Only pellet I use in it.

So I wanted to shoot them fast so I can put in a heavier pellet and still get a flat trajectory. The idea being that I can plink and hunt with cph or if I'm hunting larger animals I can up the weight and still be above 800fps.

I have a Brocock Sniper HR Magnum in .22 and it would push the Crosman .22s (ultra magnums not HPs) to 1050 fps (35 fpe). Accuracy wasn't great but became acceptable when you dropped the velocity to around 930 fps (27 fpe). FWIW, the transfer port adjuster has a pretty wide range:

CPUM on 1 = 730 fps / 16.9 fpe
CPUM on 2 = 850 fps / 23.0 fpe
CPUM on 3 = 930 fps / 27.5 fpe
CPUM on 4 = 1005 fps / 32 fpe
CPUM on 5 = 1030 fps / 33.7 fpe
CPUM on 6 = 1050 fps / 35 fpe

Thanks guys. Ultimately this will depend on the gun. I'm going to do some research on twist rate and make a decision. I am leaning towards an air arms s510. Those are beautiful guns. However due to this being a hunting rifle I might go with a cheaper gun with synthetic stock. I beat my guns up and I just know I'll be too sad to scratch a walnut stock like that.

Within 25-30 yards, they're great out of my origin. Beyond that, they scatter. Think it's pushing them too fast because the rifle just loves heavy pellets - HN Baracuda Match are crazy accurate at 40-50 yards.

Just got a chrono today, so going to play with the hammer spring a little. Unreg'd rifle.

Dude I'm really interested in the origin. I heard it has some kind of piston in the air tube that flattens the curve. I don't understand how it works but it somehow keeps pressure up as you shoot. Anyway I think I might buy one. How is umarex on parts? Like if I modded the rifle and screwed something up how easy would it be to order a spare part? That's why I love Crosman. If I mess something up I just look up a schematic get the part number and have them shipped to me. Can you do that with umarex?

Yeah man, it's my first PCP and I love it. Hand pump blew up on me, enough spares to rebuild. Was really dirty inside so cleaned and relubed it. Works awesome now. I did get an electric pump though. 

Haven't had to fix anything on the rifle, but emailed their tech team a question and got a response in a few days. I bet they could get ya parts decently fast.

Going to try and adjust the hammer spring tomorrow with the chrony I just got. It likes to sling heavy pellets. Jsb 18.13 and it loves hn Baracuda match 21.whatever.

My red wolf 22cal hp shot them on low power @940-950 FPS very accurately, but as far as hunting with them they are very hard lead pellets do not perform as a jsb that’s softer or more pure lead content.

Good info. No specific velocity is magic for any particular pellet and/or barrel. Some will shoot better at higher speeds from some guns. Each shooter should do his own testing of such. Additional ACCURATE velocity can be very helpful.
