I have not tried long range with a springer as of yet, I however just bought a HW80 so I have the same desire to find out. My Impact M3 with H&N barracudas will do 1.5 inches very regularly with my power set to 19.5 ftlbs. So if I can get 4 inches with the HW I think it will be good enough for me. Hopefully it become a reality and not a dream
