How does crosman make their barrels?

To be honest, my only experience with Crosman barrels is very good. My Marauder is around 7 years old and at 50 and 75 yards very accurate. I think the barrel problems with the Gen 1 Marauders did get their attention and they upped their game by the time I bought a Gen II. Since then, it seems Crosman QC improved, and the new barrels are supposed to be very good.

From recent reports, buying multiple barrels and testing each yourself should not be necessary. I suspect if Crosman was that bad, they'd be gone by now.

I’m not saying their barrels are terrible but from the reports of others who commented on this post their barrels are not what they used to be. For the shooter who does not need the most accurate barrel this does not make a big difference. IMO the word “crosman” is not synonymous with the word “good barrel”. They even know it, that’s why they offer LW barrels as an option when building a gun
