such as the Revo and Monsoon? Never see this on videos. I worry about having a pellet in the chamber with the hammer cocked and forgetting that it's been left that way.

I don't know about the Monsoon, but on the Revo - Pull the bolt back, remove the magazine, and then slowly inch the bolt forward while pulling the trigger intermitantly. Don't "hold" the trigger. At about 1/8th inch before the probe enters the chamber (hang on to the bolt) the hammer will release when you pull the trigger.
