How do high level PCP guns work?

I'm looking for ultimate efficiency. I want the energy of every pump that I perform with my muscles to be imparted into the target. Thanks! I want to understand how to make the AEA guns reliable.
The most efficient air gun that I have shot seems to be the GK one - I don't know what the heck is going on with that one but it's something of an outlier from the standard PCP type valve. Hammerless mechanism. I think you should be able to find the PDF of the manual online which has an exploded view.

There is a "how it works" you tube on the P15 or maybe it's the P35. They are simple regulated poppet valve guns. But that is the most common design. I think there is a similar you tube on the Hueben which is a much different design.

Please do not under estimate air at 3,000 to 5,000 psi. I am a retired mechanical engineer so I understand stresses but it only take 1 mistake and somebody could get hurt.
found it thanks!

Nice.. "hammerless" works well in the LCS SK19, I heard
