Took the kral minipup out to test pellets this morning and caught this guy slippin. Polymag to the head.

Wish I could get the others to hang around but after their buddy loses a head, they tend to GTFO fast!

Indeed. I can't wait til this spring and the grackles will be back in droves. I hate those birds, they killed the chicks of my mated pair of cardinals last 2 seasons in a row. They live in my honeysuckle that's all down my fence. I also have 2 mated pairs of brown thrashers, they are big enough to fend for themselves usually.
