How about a bird gun thread?

I'll start. I reconfigured my 2240 bottle gun into a 177 with a lothar Walther 1720 barrel I got from @SteveV Thanks bro!

Getting 800 fps for 100 shots with 7.9 wally world crosmans. Gives me dimes at 40 yards with the standard fliers known with cheap pellets. Perfect for a little pest bird rig!

Got this male HOSP at 25 yards right in the head through the tree branches.

That a nice set up"what kinda pressure are you running in the take?

You can read all about the creation of that gun here. Unfortunately, it's no longer with me and its whereabouts are unknown. If you don't care to read the thread, the regulator was set to 1500 psi and the tank was a 3k psi fill. The gun had extensive other mods to it though.

Back to .177 bird guns; I was looking through my old photos and found a pic of a Gen 1 Gauntlet that I carbine-ized by cutting the barrel to 9" and shortening the shroud. Fun gun, but still overly heavy.

I had a 25 gen 1 briefly and planned the same thing til I came to my senses and realized it was still going to be a boat anchor! I practically had to give it away too just to get rid of it and it was still stock.

Only shooting house sparrows out to 35 yards so added a carbine stock to my 1701. Slinging 5.6 grain leadfree pellets at whopping 500 fps to knock them house sparrows and starlings silly, still get the occasional pop on the house sparrows. Funny part is the Japanese Barra scope on it is just as heavy, but need the better glass to tell if it is a female house sparrows or local song birds.

Just put the finishing touches on this rifle yesterday. Huge shout-out to @Mike_Lenardon for machining the rear cap of the Diana Skyhawk moderator to fit the 15mm barrel. The gun was masterfully tuned by nervoustrig and is shooting at 16 fpe with 10.34 grain JSB.
