Best Fittings isn't the "only" way to go but since fittings aren't standardized it's probably the SMARTEST way to go for uniformity.

a member on this forum jerrymail makes a nice 40 '' or 60 '' fill hose w/female quick connects on both ends also a long reach 90% angle m/female connector , i have both , & he is a fast shipper..

BEST Fittings assembled hose and a generic Amazon male to male fitting. BEST fitting uses a .305 male part, Amazon version uses a .3115. Tight to impossible fit...

I seen that problem before too. And the good thing I have a lathe so I just shaved off a few thousands and it worked fine.

I just measured one of mine and it's .309, smack in the middle. Have to check the ones from the 'weather balloon' folks.
