Hornets nest

All jokes aside... I'm leaning towards the shotgun. At least they will be homeless and hopefully they will move on. Pretty sure a center mass blast will eradicate a bunch of them. I love free targets.

I've been attacked by those effer's. I dropped a bundle of shingles on a wood shed and walked away. The first one buried itself in my ear. I was fast enough to dig it out before it could sting me, but I misses the four on my back and right arm/shoulder. Those guy's hit me eight times before I got my shirt off. All the time I'm running around the customers yard like Clark Griswald. Once I calmed down I felt very "weird". No swelling tongue or racing heart but just off. I went home not long after and the off feeling lasted the rest of the day. I hate those things with a passion. They make bee's and yellow jackets seem like puppies in comparison.

I have an arrangement of rain gear I was going to use as an outer layer . Then I was thinking I had a full painter suit but can’t find it. So I decided to get the bees suit from Amazon. Xxl is 22 bucks. Cheaper than the painters suit. I am afraid this might not be the last time I do this. . My concern is gaps. If one gets inside it can just keep on stinging. So I think this is a better option. Another thing is after the nest is in the trash I have to get in the car with my wife. So I plan to walk a long way and then remove the outer layer and bag it for the ride home.

The plan is for Thursday night. I will have everything ready tomorrow. I get off work at 5:00. I’ll go at it after that. Then I’ll see how it goes and upload a video. Gotta practice with the GoPro so I do turn it on. Don’t think I’ll get a second chance for a video .

I put it or wasp nest over my powder during hunting season. Reason being the rifle will probably be loaded a good while and I don't take a chance on patch lube getting into the powder. I know its prob not going to happen but doesn't take long to grab an old wasp nest and shove it down the barrel.

No way Id do it in the daytime the way you described, good way to end up in hospital or worse.. Hornets and Yellow Jackets are no joke. Even at night Ive had them fly at hand held flashlight and hit it so what ever you do you better be prepared. The 20 ft spray and late cool night would be your best bet.

I can’t go in the dark but I will go in the evening. I am going to do my best to mitigate danger. I can’t wait to see what the bee suit looks like.
I got extra large so I can put on over my leather . Eye protection and a back up can of spray. And of course my cell phone. Can’t die with out that held high.

I’m waiting also and praying for a victory. I got destroyed last week cutting grass at my parent house. They built a condo in their hedges and the mower just made matters worse. My dad did a midnight wasp spray assault with two cans and declared it safe. I stopped by a couple days later and was inspecting the nest. Started pulling it apart and a lone bee flew out and stung me. It must have been a contractor bee giving an estimate for repairs. That night my dad went out and destroyed it.
