Honeycomb shade for Hawke Sidewinder

I recently purchased a 8.5X25-42 Hawke Tac and I need to come up with a sunshade for it. I purchased it used on this forum and new that the sunshade wasn't included.

My question is, has anyone ever used the Hawke Honeycomb style sunshade? I like the thought of it mostly because I would prefer not adding another 4 inches to the scope.

I am curious if anyone has every used the honeycomb style.

I have it and the thing is great!!! You can't add a flip up cover to the front element with this attached but the honeycomb provides enough protection IMO. It is a lot nicer than the extra length of the included sunshade. Cuts out the glare and prevents reflected glints. I'm glad I added that along with the smaller side wheel to my 6-24x56mm sidewider.
