Hill compressor crank oil

Hi all. I've got a Hill EC-3000 compressor and so far am liking it very much. I want to get some crank oil to have on hand. It is all out of stock in my neck of the woods. Pyramyd does sell it for $10/50ml. That equates to $200 a quart which is beyond ludicrous. Anyone know what this stuff is ? I believe it's only job is to lubricate the crank. The very best and most expensive compressors in the world do not use oil this expensive. Suggestions welcome.

I would use the manufacturer oil for the compressor. It only take a bottle which is $10 to refill. You might get away with other brands but since hills makes their own oil for their own compressor, I would use hills oil. Thats just me.

They make oil ? I doubt it .. they just source it somewhere.

I have the Hill as well. The oil can go 50 hours or a year. I believe per manual. I did notice the first change was dirty but I did not wait that long.

I bought the oil from PA, after spending over a Grand on a compressor, I'm not going to sweat a $10 annual oil change, especially if it keeps the warranty in tact!

I also have and had the Hill for a couple of years now and like FLgunner said if you invested that kind of money why question the small price of the oil, it's only 1% the cost of the compressor. Although I understand your purchase in bulk theory, it just doesn't apply to this application like Toilet Paper.
