Higher end PCP's ( Which to choose)?

Don't be afraid to go used. I picked up my "Dream Gun" at AoA. FX Impact for $1500. Built in January 2017, The gun looks virtually new in box except for a bit of wear on the magazine. I saved enough to buy the .22 barrel & probe kit and still be under full retail value. I hadn't quite saved enough for a new Impact, so buying used got me shooting faster, even though it's a .25 and my eventual goal is a .22. In the end, I'll have both the .25 and .22 setups, for under what the new gun would have cost.

Or, if you like the Wildcat, I know the Mark II is the latest and greatest, but the Mark I was incredibly accurate as well. Unless you intend to shoot slugs, the Smooth Twist seems to be plenty accurate.

Just my thoughts, as for the list of guns, can't miss on any of them. Obviously, I like FX, but it is on the higher end and will suck up more $$.

"intenseaty22"In .22 I adore my Kalibrgun Cricket Mini Carbine. Free floating barrel. 14 shot magazine, over 45 shots per fill. Very very accurate. The Taipan is very nice as well, maybe even better than the Cricket? But if you don’t like a bullpup, the Mini is hard to beat. 

The Cricket Mini Carbine is a really good gun. Sized like a bullpup but has the ergonomics of a standard rifle. The barrel is tensioned with consistent accuracy. I shot four magazines today (56 shots) with pressure dropping from 200 to 100 bar. I am surprised this rifle has not gained increased popularity.

Honestly, though, if you really want a Crown, I'd hold out for the Crown.

 I believe the wildcat is in top place right, very hard to beat for value. Currenlty I'm going to regulate my gun and play for a while before I take the plunge though

Just my opinion but if I were you, I'd wait and see how the reviews are on the Bantam Sniper. If it proves to be what I think it's going to be, I'm going to have to get one. I'm sure the Wildcat is a good gun, I've never shot one but people love them. Also the Taipan is very well made and has a CZ barrel which are stupid accurate. Good luck in your search, take your time and do your homework.

Don't get me wrong , I love my crown , but the Wildcat is a much better "daily driver " . The wc is a much more robust no muss no fuss rifle . And I seem to be able to shoot it more consistently accurate than I can the Crown , sounds crazy but true .

Taipan and Wildcat seem to be the way to go. I like the looks of the Taipan shorty more than anything really, even the impact lol. Super sweet looking bullpup, but I am going to regulate mine first and play a little. Awesome feedback guys, really appreciate it.

I have the S510, regulated and tuned, a stock streamline and a stockish Impact in .30.

The Impact is by far my goto gun, luv that thing. I've put like ten tins of pellets thru it since I got it 10 months ago.

You do yourself a real disservice if you don't consider the Impact.

1. Air Arms S510 (My bias to this would probably be the fact that I am a Matt Duber fan)
2. FX Wildcat Mark 2 (The videos I have seen on this rifle are absolutely unreal, even the first gen)
3. Kalibrgun Cricket (Seems to be a little ugly, and awkward but accurate)
4. Brocock Bantam (Love the looks, and accuracy seemed great from what I saw)
5. Air Arms S510 TDR (I am obbsessed with the looks, and looks to perform well)

   Get a bottle gun. 480cc of air volume will give you higher shot count. The only gun with bottle on your list is 2018 Bantam Hi-Lite HR with Huma regulator.

If it was me I'd go with the Brocock Sniper HR....you will get alot of shots with a bottle and regulated gun...also has a Lothar Walther barrel. Being a semi-bullpup it Isa nice handling compact rifle that shoulders and handles extremely well.I had a Bantam that was excellent and sold it because I couldn't put a regulator on it so now it is here with the Sniper HR. Caliber wise if your gonna hunt with it then .22 is a good choice... .177 for Field Target or plinking in your backyard.

I have four Air Arms S-510s, they are all tack drivers, and absolutely a delight to own. I have two in .22 caliber, and as far as regulated or unregulated goes, I would not let this bother you. For thirty shots, I can't tell much difference in POI. My rifles shoot several pellets well but they will consistently shot .375" groups at 30 yards and .75" groups or less at 50 yards with JSB Heavy 18.13 grain pellets. Good luck!

Thanks ! I love that damn rifle, it’s beautiful lol. Yeah my Kral is very consistent and it’s shooting these light H&N FTT 8.6gs very well! I haven’t tried JSB yet just bc the H&N are doing so well. I may end up just keeping it and just buying a bullpup later on but S510s are just amazing rifles. I’ll own one no matter what one day

I'm seriously considering ordering one.

I have a wildcat 22 with a Donny fl sumo I am very very satisfied the Donny is the poop its unbelievable I shoot about 1/4 to 3/8 group and after that it just wallows out the hole at 40 yards any closer and it gets tighter the gun like JBS 18s and that is the best pellet for my barrel hands down my gun is about 4 months old bought it two weeks before the wildcat II came out.

The one which will never leave my shelves is Kalibrgun Cricket ... reliable, accurate & solid ... 
With my Cricket .22, I usually take Starlings/Sparrow beyond 100 yards (usually 126 yards)

Honestly I think either a Taipan or a Wildcat or Cricket will be best however... It depends on what your plan for it is. And after my kral has impressed me so much I may wait to see what they release to the USA this year.
