Wow .. diana ( AKA dianapeak) has really hit the skids having partnership up with snowpeak . I sworn id never buy another rws/ diana back when and this now cemented that . Got me once shame on you got me twice shame on me . Lesson learned.

I guess the "P" in its name means pathetic....lol

Ill send them pics to blueline and dianaworks and see how they feel. ( Im going to guess a no reply )

You will see that from just about every manufacture in existence simply because once a company starts to make a profit and build a good name for themselves the next step is to increase profits there are 2 ways to accomplish this 1 increase price but comes with a loss in sales 2 is to farm out production to cheaper sources that comes with generaly a drop in quality. Most companys believe they have built a good enough name and customers wont notice. Until thier product is crap and their name goes to poo.

Have my doubts any Germans were involved in the engineering of that Diana branded trotline weight.

I'm on my third Volkswagen GTI. Driving one leaves no doubt of the German engineering, despite assembly plants in several countries.

China is capable of making excellent airguns; be they engineered in China, or copies of other countries' products. I do find it disappointing/disturbing when a well-respected brand like Diana chooses to market cheap Chinese garbage under their brand name, but don't think German engineers should bear any blame for that. German PROFITEERS, yes!

History suggests such a move often the last gasps.

Its sad for sure .. wasn't expecting much just a decent can popper or at least keep in 1" bulls at 10m and to help use up "cull" pellets and it pretty much failed at even that .

I understand.

But I can't understand how someone... correction, anyone in business wouldn't understand that peddling crap might not be a good business strategy.

these pistols were being sold as Snowpeak SP500 which they are, before they showed up as Diana P-Five and what a stupid name
naming a new pistol the same as an old pistol but just spelling the FIVE
now the pistol itself looks and feels good in the hand, my sights are good and you can see the barrel is centered in the breech
but the trigger from the factory are as bad as you can get
now there was a hole in the trigger for a 3mm screw but there was never a screw installed in any of them and now i have read that hole has now disappeared
there is a silver screw that holds the sear down and i found that needed to be lowered so with and adjustment screw in the trigger and the large head silver screw being lowered pass the frame surface the trigger is now just heavy
the pistol in reality is a piece because of the trigger

Ya, i checked you threads / posts on it before i bought . Not looking for anything spectacular and knew it was a snowpeak but still ..lol . Like i said just needed a cull pellet and tin can gun and or it pretty much fails at that.

I mean the barrel coming loose from the breech block ? Thats a first for me in any gun .. even the commings tool truck 20$ china springers were better than this .. not much but somewhat better .. lol.
