"High End Airgun" Factory Tour

This one is "higher end"?
One has to admire the skills of these folks using primitive ways.....
I give people living in third world country's a lot of credit . They take what they can aquire and rebuild items that we Americans would not think of using and repurpose to fit their need '
Want to see some scary stuff Google DYI wood working saw mills , India or Thailand videos .
Most likely cutting lumber destinated to be air gun stocks ?

For a real treat, check out the videos of how those people make slug swaging presses and dies!

I have to say that I don't know if I should be impressed or shocked!

Limited by the notion that dies can only be made on precision high-tech equipment, I never considered making my own slug swaging setup.

I have a decent workshop with a lathe. After seeing what these guys can make, from scrap, with their crude equipment I've decided to make my own press and dies... wish me luck!

Cheers!

OSHA Approved!
OSHA does not "approve."
One can only be in "compliance" or not be in "compliance."

I appreciate the craftsmanship but please notice all the drill and fit in place procedures. No parts interchangeability. This is how guns were made inbthe 1800's. Functional low tech system. Admirable craftsmanship. Not appreciated or needed in modern manufacturing. I personally appreciate it because I like to see what I can do with my hands and may make a prototype this way. Production work goes on cnc machines. The copy router for the stocks is great. They could have made a copy sander to eliminate the handwork.

Cool, Im going to start telling people my garage is actually a High End Factory. These videos always make me a little sad, many of these people are forced to work off impossible debts in extremely dangerous conditions. Lots of missing limbs and short life expectancy. Ive seen places like this in person including small children working, so when people complain about tariffs it gets under my skin knowing what they are actually defending.

The Viet Cong used to shoot our asses with handmade copies of Springfield 1903 bolt action rifles that were far more crude that these things are. These guys make hand forging at a new level and I like their calibrated eyeballs. Can I send my TX200 to them for a "tune"? Even though our stupid politicians want gun control, how can you stop it when you have craftsmen like this?
