Hi!!!! and hog hunting from a far away land...

Hi to everyone I'm Juan from Uruguay, I always read the forum, buth have never posted, more than nothing because my English is a little rusty, so, sorry for any grammatical errors.

Here we hunt more than nothing wild hogs "jabalies" how we call them, because they are considered an invasive and exotic specie, that can be hunted year around by any means, normally I bow hunted them, buy from a few years ago, I started to hunt them with pcp rifles too.

We use .30 and 9mm cal for the hunts, and always brain shots trying to get the most quickly and humane death possible, the rifles that we use for this in the majority of the cases are from a brand made in Argentina called Foster, they are very basic guns but very powerful too.

Well here are some pictures of the las hunts and some videos that I have in my modest channel in YouTube.

Thanks to everyone i hope to contribute more in the future.

Your English writing is good - as good as many who live here in the US full time!

Thanks for sharing your experiences hog hunting. I have taken hogs here with firearms, but have not attempted yet with a PCP rifle. I hope to try it. I assume you are shooting at fairly close range, less than 50m?

Thanks for the comment, we don't shoot more than 25 mts from our stand normally we take shoots between 15 and 20mts and always brain shoots, the woods were we hunt are very dense so you don't have to much distance for a longer shoot , what in fact is much more dificult than a longer shoot because you have more chances that the hog see or smell you.

I keep watching the video!! so, good!!

What bait or food do you use?

Hi I use just regular corn (you don't need nothing more) sometimes when I prepare a new area for the first time I use corn plus semitin , I don't know the name in English, it's a food for used for pigs, chicken etcetera that when it's wet it's has a strong smell but I never used it in the feeder because it's stacks if there's humidity, I just put it in the floor with some corn and water the first time.
