im in virginia and ive been hearing guess talk of carp fishing around here. have caught them before but not actually went for just carp. fighting fish

carp is a beautiful fish to catch, very combative and with important weights, in open water you can find specimens of up to 25 kg ... carp fishing allows you to always be fishing for days in the middle of nature

Welcome to the group. Many years ago when I was a young man I loved to fly fish for Carp in the up waters of the Neches River in south east Texas.

Yup, sitting in a lawn chair, cooler of beer and good friends, with 6lb test line fishing for big carp.

Hello @carpmaster
I know that Carp are full of bones and very few people keep to eat them, but you need to try smoking them. Gut and remove the scales, put foil in a pan and shape to pan, add some butter, Canola oil, salt, pepper, garlic, lemon juice, cover all of this with sliced white sweet onions and close the foil. I have a big all aluminum vertical smoker so I get the temp to 225 to 250 and place the pan on the top shelf and smoke until done. This is some good eating
