Why have an avatar in the first place? What is the reason behind this? Should we no all be judge by the content of our character?

Yeah, I guess, for some reason, we have a silencing, moderator that doesn't like old movie characters..
In my case, ol, Frankenstein's monster's been on normal, general TV since 1931, along with all of the sequels. I don't think anyone's complained !
I guess Brent's right, even though we have a spot for it...it's best not to upset the proverbial apple cart.

@markT well for me it’s much easier to recognize a members avatar and associate their avatar to their name and to anything that they have posted that I’ve read. If it was just names I’d have a much harder time remembering who’s who and who said what.

I think, it's more likely an issue with the upgrades to the database. I highly doubt that anyone person has ever been singled out for an avatar that was not grossly out of line. Then again I don't have a victim complex.

Then why the public outcry? Handle that sort of issue in a PM. Those that have a blip with a avatar picture are are not being punished. 100% guaranteed it is not personal.

Again, the avatar issue is NOT a personal attack on anyone. A quick note to the admin got a quick answer. They are working on fixing the problem and yes, they are already aware of it.
