Here is something a little different for you

Ever since Col. Jeff Copper (A moment of silence please) came up with the scout rifle platform, I have always wanted a air rifle in that set up. Back than there were not a lot of options in air guns for this set up. Well that has changed and there are lots of option now.. Got a chance to grab this gun last year. It was tuned by Mike @ Flying Dragon Air Rifles. He had to cut the hand guard back to take a TKO moderator. I finally got a opportunity to pick up a UTG scout scope for it. I looked at all the pistol scopes on the market today and none had a parallax less that 30 yards most were 50 yards as were other scopes available. The UTG scout scope was the only one with an AO. The UTG scope gets to me and it is huge, I mean huge. Weight is half as much as the gun. If I had it to do over I would have got a pistol scope and tried to turn the parallax down to 10 years. I my still wind up doing that, this is a lot of scope. For now this is how it will stay and get tested and enjoyed. The gun is .177 not my first chose, but with the .177 heavier pellets and the laser performance of the lighter ones it should be fun to shoot.

Interesting gun. I like the cut out done on it.
As far as a scout scope, I went through the same looking for one for a bench pistol and found exactly what you have been looking for. Threw it on a .22LR bench pistol and it's great.

Higher magnification than the normal pistol scopes ( 3-12x32), relatively light, front AO down to 25 yards. ...and wont cost you a ton.

Yeah, I put a UTG 2-7 on my HW44. You're right, LONG and HEAVY but seemed like the best option for me. I wanted a scope with AO. I shoot off a bipod so it works "pretty well" for me. I thought about the Aim Sport but the limited reviews I saw were in the 3-3.5 star range and the crosshairs look to be pretty thick, always hard to tell without actually seeing it in person. Might have to reconsider after Rob"s endorsement. I also like the higher magnification.

Had me curious about the crosshairs now... just went to look. They arent 'ultra fine' but as fine or finer than a UTG 4-16 compact I have. Perfectly acceptable really. I cant speak to the longevity of this scope. I've only had it for a couple months, but havent found anything negative with it. Marks a lot of boxes for an inexpensive price.
I guess if I were to nitpick, the eye box is quite small at 12x, but imagine that's unavoidable on an EER scope at that magnification.

I've been enamored by scout rifles ever since I saw one as a kid. In fact, my favorite firearm in my collection is a 5.56 bolt rifle with an LPVO. Not a true scout rifle, more the modern practical rifle concept. I first saw the concept in Lucky Gunner's video "Rethinking the Scout Rifle...Again"

Anyway, I've been playing with a QB78 HPA conversion and threw this pistol scope on it. I kinda like it!!! You can see where the barrel is marked for cutting, making it more true to the scout rifle concept.

I did one of these Xisico’s for a buddy several years ago. While everyone over on GTA was reaming stuff out trying to make the gun lord knows what, I went the opposite direction. I made some smaller transfer ports and wound up with some fantastic setting based around Crosman 14.3’s. It was a good shooting gun and the guy defends his garden and flower beds with it. I just put a UTG 3-9 mil dot 35 yard parallax scope on it. Can’t wait to see where you wind up and definitely how you get there with this gun. You may get to do a ton of shooting depending how picky you are.

I am going a similar direction. I have another bottle fed QB, but this one has gotten a .05" TP and currently shooting around 9 fpe. I have a thread for it that you can find under my profile.

Really nice looking set you have. I have one of the new QB's in .177 that my wind up in that set up as well. I would like to get the scope out a little future.

Thank you. A cantilever ring would push it forward and be more true scout rifle, but I wanted the scope as low to the bore as possible.

Something like this and use the little converters pic to dovetail. They add no height to it. I think your scope is a 1 inch, but you get the idea.
edit, forgot link...
