Asking if anyone has used an FX muzzle flip in their Impact and are they effective or just for looks?

Does this work or is it for looks, its not a moderator, they are illegal here in Australia. Its a muzzle brake, but due to I the design 8m questioning if it works at all or is just for looks...

I haven't used this anti muzzle flip device but by the look of it , it should.
I used one on a hw80 .22 caliber and it seem to keep the muzzle down. It was also a moderator

I have used one on my BSA R10 and it made a big difference. From having a scatter of pellets to having 25 pellets with a 10mm hole.
Will use one all the time now.
