Help with my Benjamin Trail np2 sbd!

Hello Guys! i need some help with my Benjamin trail np2 sbd, it turns out that the barrel shroud starts loosening every time i shoot, one of the screws fall, so i took out the other, and both screw holes that are plastic where broken, so i've put some permatex high temperature thread sealant that i've left from my bike exhaust installation, but i know this is a temporary solution.

Any advice guys?? i don't think the permatex will work because of the plastic muzzle brake.
Any ideas or advise will be appreciated!

thank you!

*****Update*****
after 2 days of putting the permatex, i've started shooting today, after the first shot, the aluminum shroud, moves forward and the plastic muzzle brake moves forward, so definitely permatex wont work, any ideas??

I have owned a couple rifles with the full barrel shrouds. Why they would fully shroud a barrel is beyond me. Sold them both. Maybe you can totally remove shroud and muzzle brake. Use some JB weld or other form of epoxy and reinstall them then do the same with the screws. The shroud and muzzle brake are only cosmetic. The rifle will shoot fine without them. I wonder what the barrel looks like under that full barrel cosmetic crap?

thank you for replying!

I checked a few places. Here is most standard warranties

Unless otherwise noted, all of our air guns have a minimum 1-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase.

Some have 30 to 90 for refurbished rifles

Sorry,,,, this is tuff times for all business. Probably a NY covid19 shut down...

Its unfortunate as Crosman has always picked up their phone for me and been extremely good with their warranty for me, going above and beyond.

Be careful what you do to the gun/parts. Lumps of JB epoxy on parts might not go over good for warranty once they open up again. But then again it just might be fine in this covid19 climate and them being closed.
