Help with huma prod reg.

I took my huma prod reg apart to clean. Now I dont know how the washers go back in the piston. Which way to they face? Can someone help me out. Does it matter what way the face or do they need to face the right way? Thanks

The way I see it there are only a couple of ways to do it as ghoststalker suggests"()()()" would be for lower power and (())(( for higher power. I don't know which way is right for your reg. Look closely at the washers cuz sometimes they are different thicknesses and you would want to alternate thick thin thick thin when stacking them. I found this pic it is small but looks like they may be stacked the second way? I can't say for sure.

Ok I set to (())(( and fill up my gun. My tube gauge went to 3000psi and reg gauge went to 2500. Both starts dropping and I can hear air escaping. I probably did sometime wrong or stack them wrong. Cause before my pressure reg was set to 1400psi. I didnt even touch the reg pressure set screw. That was still in the same spot so idk how pressure went pass 2000 psi. Maybe I will email huma. The thing is I have to wait few days for them to respond.

Where I get confused is which direction. You can show me all the “parentheses” marks to show orientation of the spring washers, but which end is, say, the brass adjustment screw end, or the top of the regulator? Does it matter at all? I’ve seen folks refer to the orientation of these washers for a long while now, but could never make out which end was which.

Let me add- if it goes like stacked clamshells like in post number 6 by BIOHAZARDMAN, then yes, it doesn’t matter which end was which, duh! I already understood that. It’s when one side of the orientation differs in pattern from the rest, as 2FAST attempted, or if there’s different thicknesses of washers in the mix of things.

Picture number 7 shows it really well, in the Huma link above. It looks to me as though they are all the same thickness.
