Help with Hatsan magazine

Hello airgunnation, first my I just say i’m a novice with pcp air rifles. I have a Hatsan 25 caliber bull boss great gun up until now. The magazine not rotating from time to time and I can’t seem to locate the problem. I reach out to Hatsan and thay said I must have drop the magazine on a hard surface or the magazine advancement tooth has been slightly bent. I can say I have only treated this gun with care and don’t know how this could have happen. Help Needed

Does this happen when it's loaded, unloaded, or both?
I'm not a Hatsan owner but, I know on my Wildcat if the pellets are not fully seated into the mag it will jam and possibly eject the mag out of the gun.

It happens when the magazine is loaded. Did not think to do it unloaded. I tried to push the pallets through the magazine and it was very hard to do.

pellets might be big/tight in the mag causing friction or drag have you tryed a different pellet maybe lighter gr.? just a suggestion.

The pellets were free when I purchased the air rifle, and no I have not tried any other pellets yet.

Also check the cover plate on the left hand side of the breech. This plate covers the linkages that advance the magazine.

That sounds great and all, but when you say check the plate do you mean remove it, and if that so, what i’m I looking for?

Check to make sure that the plate is secure. I had an indexing issue with my Nova that turned out to be a loose cover. Be careful if you do remove that cover. There is a spring underneath that can easily get lost. What pellets are you using? Some pellets are too long for the clip and will hang up (Predator Polymags are one example).

Hey guys thanks so much with all your help. The pellets i’m Using is hatsan vortex supreme 19.91 grain 6.35.
l also tried rotating the magazine without any pellets in it and still won’t rotate. What seems to be happening is the skirts 
are deformed when I take them out of the magazine .So could be the band around the magazine is to tight

Will the clip rotate by hand but not by the side lever or will it not rotate by either method? Does the sidelever function without the clip installed?

The clip rotates with my hand and with the side lever, yes the side lever works without the clip.
Hatsan thinks my magazine might be bent, so they are sending me a new magazine. You
were correct about the plate being not tight, but that did not fix the problem. Now waiting for
the new magazine, maybe this could be the problem.

First things first,what are the pellets your using?
In my bullboss it had issues feeding excite plinking flat nosed pellets into the breech as well as indexing issues with them.
I right away went to using crosman hollow points and crosman domed pellets without anymore issues.
Some plinking pellets are a bit too short and combined with the flat nose would try to kick sidways causing the issues.
Also on another note some pellets could be too long and protruding out of the magazine a bit causing a jamming issue when indexing the magazine for the next shot.

Did you get 2 mags with the gun? I have a bull boss and notice when I got the gun, the 2 mags had sharp edges at the back loading holes. I debured both mags all over . And only had an issue with long pellets. You could have an issue with the linkage that rotates the mag. When you install the mag, do you rotate it forward then back on the linkage to make sure it lined up with the breach hole? That's the way I ensert my mags. Hope this helps. Dave

yes 2 magazine did come with it, but one of them was defective right out of out
This problem just started, I reach out to hatsan and they think it’s a magazine problem 
so they sending me a new one.

Hello all, thanks so much with your ideas and suggestion. I did receive the new magazine from Hatsan
but the problem still exist. Could it be the pellets that i’m using Vortex Supreme 19.91 by Hatsan 25 caliber 
some pellets are good and others are very hard to push through the magazine.

Hello all at airgunnation, thanks so much for your advice and help. Hatsan has repaired my 25 caliber bull boss. It turn out to be something with the advancement mechanism that they had to replace.
