hi

i have mixed up my 2x liners so anyone can help me identify which is pellet, slug liner?

i did check twist rate gave me

33/1 my guessing this is slug liner?

other one between 36.5 to 38 ? Pellet ?

both 0.22 cal

also i have notice an aluminum ring fall off the fixed shroud ... anybody knows where this ring come from ?

600mm barrel length

thanks in advance

Currently in use (not by me) is a 600mm 22 caliber slug liner with 1:17 twist rate for shooting 23gr slugs.

I don't know if that was a custom or standard twist from FX.

I think one can expect to use faster twist rates for heavier slugs.

I'd just be happy to get my slug liner with whatever twist rate they offer it in. 1:18 would be nice for 19 or 21gr slugs I imagine.

I thought you said they were like 1:30?

If you suspect one is a pellet liner and the other a slug liner, can you tell if one is choked tighter than the other? When I pull a patch through my pellet liner, it is very obvious when I get to the choke, as the patch pulls quite a bit tighter through it.

As far as Matt, in one of his videos where he talks about the slug liners (I think), he showed two liners side-by-side and one of them clearly had a significantly faster twist rate than the other. I've watch so many of his videos multiple times that I can't remember which one it was. If I stumble upon it I'll grab a screen shot and link it.

To the OP, you didn't mention which model rifle you have. You mentioned a "fixed shroud", so I assume not a Crown, which is the only FX rifle I own. The metal ring pictured doesn't appear to be anything used in the Crown. I assume it is the diameter of the ID of the shroud, so it must go on one end or the other, shouldn't be hard to determine where it goes.

no i did try to put it between into the thread of the barrel and fixed the shroud it falls inside the shroud ...
