Not really. I can only speak for myself but I'd rather have people passionate about the hobby than wham bam sellers or buyers that never participate. We have to share what we know or the hobby will become all gamo break barrels and low effort questions about the cheapest ammo and questionable buyers or sellers who may be unscrupulous.

Me too 25 years. I'm spoiled and get to shoot in the shop every morning and make my own parts.
Airgun critical thinking, skilled fine woodwork and furniture making and machine repair info is dwindling.... And I'm not that old, just an oddball for my generation. Heck showing up early or on time is dwindling too. Hello fellow wood pushers.

Haha the mods were dragging on it and because I asked what he may or may not be looking to invest/divest from in a much broader post about carpentry it got flagged for mod approval. So I got scolded for inappropriate content for circumventing the system. Maybe classified should be hidden all together from users without the tenior and from search engines?

The industry is basically lost...nothing but hacks these days and no one is learning the craft...very few fine time guys left.

The system is to keep bots and scammers at a minimum. Never worry as there isn’t much moving in the classifieds anyway. Will probably still be there when you meet the requirements.

RMCIV - hang in there, I have waited all week and today I reached the required number of post to be able to message other members; there is nothing you have to do, just post and the "Start Conversation" feature will enable automatically. Good Luck!

Welcome to the forum. The process is not complicated, it is setup this way for a reason. The rules can be found at the top of any page under the Resources drop down menu. All forums and commerce sites have rules, and have for decades. I dont understand why so many people cant seem to figure things out

Many people chafe at simple moderation rules which help to maintain polite and informative discussions in public forums like this. They are often the same folks who like to use profanity and post replies in CAPITAL LETTERS because it makes them feel good about themselves.

I think the rules are fine. I am in the same position, but I'd say just join in a discussion or two. There are plenty of topics, and 10 days will pass faster than you think. From what I can see, there are very few classified that require you to jump on it instantly or it'll get away.
