So, I am trying to remove the first stage from my TM 1000 trigger and when I fully remove the first stage travel the gun will not cock. Do I need to adjust something else as well?
You need to adjust the second stage screw now to get the sear to engage. I can't remember for sure which way to turn it, but I think clockwise. You have only two choices, so turn it until it works. When you get it to engage, it will probably have some creep, so you'll need to back off a bit to get it crisp.I am still confused on what I need to adjust. When I turn screw B counterclockwise it removes the first stage but won't cock. Do I need to adjust the trigger weight screw, or the second stage screw to get the rifle to cock? Informative video, but he doesn't go into the issue I am having.
Thank you! It worked! You need to adjust the second stage screw now to get the sear to engage. I can't remember for sure which way to turn it, but I think clockwise.
